Young Catholic Professionals (YCP) is a national ministry founded in response to Pope Benedict’s challenge to foster “a new generation of Catholics.” Our mission is to encourage young adults working in various professions to Work in Witness for Christ. YCP Orlando Chapter consists of young adults in their 20s and 30s, single and married, who are highly motivated to achieve personal and professional success while seeking a greater understanding of their Catholic faith. We also welcome professionals who may not be Catholic, but are interested in learning more about the Catholic faith.

Catholics in their 20s and 30s today represent business leaders, philanthropists, young families and so much more. The future of our Church and its role in American society rests on whether or not this generation decides to embrace the gift of their faith, living it in all its fullness in their workplaces, homes, and social networks. Central to YCP’s mission of engaging young Catholic leaders is the importance of connecting them with seasoned Catholic professionals who have already made the choice to live out their faith in all aspects of their life. YCP offers its members an avenue to engage with prominent Catholic executives in a way that is unique among young adult ministries. YCP brings young adults together for a variety of events to foster Catholic identity, encourage community and inspire action. Our events include: Networking Happy Hour, Executive Speaker Series, St. Joseph the Worker Retreats, Service Projects and a National Members Conference.

As an organization, we have a Membership program. Member benefits are exclusive programs that help develop the spiritual, professional, and social lives of our ministry’s most committed supporters. Members gain valuable access to YCP’s network of Members nationwide in addition to the benefits provided within their city. JMJ Baby Shower
    Saturday, December 07, 2019 at 09:00 AM

Bishop Moore and Notre Dame Club of Greater Orlando are throwing a baby shower and we need your help!

Eva came to us through JMJ Pregnancy Center. In 2017 she was pregnant with twins which she gave up for adoption. A few months ago, when she came into JMJ for a pregnancy test, she was scared of what the results would be and considered abortion if she was, in fact, pregnant. After learning she was pregnant, the stenographer did an ultrasound to see how far along Eva was and discovered not one, but two lives growing within her. Eva was pregnant with twins again!

Her perspective on this pregnancy changed, thinking God was blessing her with the opportunity to raise twins after all. She is scared and overwhelmed, but also so grateful that families at BMC would want to help her in this journey of LIFE!

Please help us provide for Eva and her twin girls. Below is a wishlist of items that would be the most helpful to mom, Eva. We told her to dream BIG as we know the generosity of God (through all of you) knows no bounds!

Please bring items to the YCP St. Joseph Saturday Retreat on December 7, or drop off items at Bishop Moore Catholic High School to our Main Office (before December 10th). Items may be wrapped, but it is not required. If you do wrap the item, please include a post-it note or tag with the item description.

Thank you for any support you can offer! We invite you to pray for Eva, for her twins, and for the great work happening to support families at JMJ.

View the Wish List on our Signup Page to let us know how you can help out with!

    St Joseph Saturday: Freedom!
    Saturday, December 07, 2019 at 09:00 AM

    St. Joseph Saturday Retreat

Our next St Joseph Saturday Retreat will be December 7 at the Catholic Campus Ministry at UCF.

Our retreats encourage young adults to “look upon work with the eyes of faith” and see God’s presence in their vocations and professional lives. Retreats include time for guided reflection, group discussion, Confession and daily Mass. Retreats always include special time to reflect on the life of our YCP patron, Saint Joseph the Worker.

This is where young people learn how to integrate their spiritual and professional lives. This is where young, Catholic professionals strengthen their sense of community and support each other in their quest for holiness. This is where lives change

Bring your baby items for the JMJ babyshower to this event!

Breakfast is provided and an optional lunch is available after the retreat concludes for $5. Online payment form for lunch coming soon!
